Condo complex fire leaves one dead

CARLSBAD – Fire crews were called to the 2300 block of Caringa Way in Carlsbad Tuesday night after a report of a condo complex fire.

Multiple agencies responded to the fire. The condo was full of heavy combustible material inside the home. Authorities report a lot of papers and a lot of magazines.

Fire crews found a 77-year-old female unconscious, but unfortunately she died at the scene.

It took fire crews about 30 minutes to extinguished the fire.

The neighboring complex from both sides were damaged. The Red Cross is assisting four people tonight.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
