Congressional candidate Sara Jacobs hosted town hall on how to stay involved in the Black Lives Matter movement
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Candidate for Congress in California’s 53rd Congressional District Sara Jacobs recently joined Generation Justice Co-Founder and Executive Director Aeiramique Glass Blake and Co-Chair of San Diegans for Justice Maresa Talbert to discuss the Black Lives Matter movement, how to stay involved in racial justice reforms after you’ve protested, and how to hold leaders accountable at every level of government.
At the event last Thursday, Jacobs, Glass Blake, and Talbert took questions from attendees for over an hour, addressing police reform, the controversial city council vote to increase the San Diego police budget, how to be an ally and an advocate, and why the three have hope that this moment will drive lasting change in San Diego and across the country.
Jacobs joined Good Morning San Diego to recap the town hall and to share her Criminal Justice Reform plan.
