Congressman Duncan D. Hunter talks about the latest on Eddie Gallagher

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego based Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher, who’s being accused of war crimes, has been released from the Brig at MCAS Miramar.

Following a tweet from President Trump, he was moved to less restrictive confinement.

The move comes after months of advocacy from Gallagher’s family and lawmakers, including local Congressman Duncan D. Hunter.

Gallagher is now being held in the barracks at MCAS Miramar. He’s accused of killing an injured ISIS prisoner of war and has been charged with premeditated murder, aggravated assault, and shooting at civilians during his deployment.
