Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center “The Conrad” opens

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Tonight was the grand opening of the Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center. “The Conrad” is set to host a variety of events from music to theater.

La Jolla Music Society is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and they are the parent organization sponsoring the building of The Conrad, which received $82 million in public funding.

The Conrad is the permanent home of La Jolla Music Society and will host world-class performances as well as other San Diego arts presenters, according to LJMS.

KUSI’s Dave Scott was there for all the opening day festivities.
