Convention Center returns to pre-pandemic levels of business
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – After three years of COVID-19 related restrictions, the San Diego Convention Center is back in full force for 2023, creating an economic boom for the San Diego region, especially Downtown.
The Convention Center already has over 100 conventions set up for 2023. Each convention brings thousands of people to San Diego, and these people spend money at restaurants and hotels in the county.
The week of March 6 the Convention Center hosted one of the premier tech events in the country. The OFC expected to draw 8,000 attendees, but by Wednesday had already drawn over 10,000.
KUSI’s Matt Prichard went live with details.
