Convicted Spring Valley man to be sentenced

CHULA VISTA (KUSI) – Sentencing was expected Tuesday in the case of a Spring Valley man who stabbed his sister’s husband during a dispute in the victim’s home.

37-year-old Brandon Pabilona Ancho was found guilty of attempted murder in the 2014 stabbing.

Ancho, according to authorities, came to his brother-in-law’s house uninvited and questioned the two regarding an issue related to Ancho’s former employment status. The argument became physical when Ancho produced a large knife and attempted to stab his sister before her husband intervened. He suffered injuries to his abdomen and chest.

Both victims fled the scene on foot, and Ancho was apprehended two days later.
