Cooler conditions to last for a few more days in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Temperatures are comfortable Wednesday but cooler conditions won’t last long. Temperatures are expected to soar over the weekend as a trough of low pressure moves into the region.

The marine layer and onshore flow are reaching into the valleys Wednesday, keeping conditions cool. Clouds and fog are expected to lift mid-morning for the valley areas and late-morning for the coastal areas.

Cooler weather will last for a few more days. Temperatures will begin to warm over the weekend due to a ridge of high pressure moving towards San Diego from the southwest. Onshore flow will decrease and the marine layer will shrink.

Daytime highs are about average Wednesday. Expect temperatures to be 73 degrees along the coast, 86 degrees inland, 80 degrees in the mountains and 104 degrees for the deserts.
