Cooler temperatures, morning drizzle expected across San Diego County

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego enjoyed a warm and sunny Easter weekend but a new week with cooler temperatures and the possibility of wet conditions in the morning hours is on the way. Cloudy skies are expected to loom overhead through the week until the weekend.

Coastal areas could see some precipitation to start the work week, along with a high of 64 Monday. Temperatures will remain steady through most of the week until gradually warming up from Thursday.

The high on Monday Inland will be 66, with a chance of drizzle during the morning commute. Things begin heating up by the end of the week, though, as Friday reaches a high of 73 before hitting 75 with clear skies on Saturday.

Mountain and desert areas in North and East County are under a wind advisory that is expected to expire on Tuesday. The strongest winds should arrive Monday evening, with gusts up to 60-to-80 mph.
