Cooler weather ahead for San Diego as fall approaches
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Cooler weather will continue Tuesday throughout San Diego County, with even lower temperatures expected Thursday and Friday.
The cool weather is the result of a low-pressure system over the western United States and will produce even lower temperatures locally thanks to a deep marine layer, with clouds and patchy fog extending almost to the mountains.
There will be a slight chance of rain Thursday, with strong, gusty winds in the mountains and deserts.
High temperatures Tuesday will be 72 to 77 degrees at the beaches and inland, 74 to 79 in the western valleys and near the foothills, 71 to 79 in the mountains and 92 to 97 in the deserts.
