Coronado Mayor reacts to Coronado High’s stripped championship title over ‘tortilla throwing incident’

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The final punishment has been handed down over the “tortilla incident” after a Coronado High School basketball game which quickly mushroomed intro controversy.

Coronado will be stripped of their championship title along with the requirement of sensitivity training for the coaches and players.

The decision did not go over well with the Mayor of Coronado.
