Councilmembers Faulconer and Gloria considering run for mayor

In a move that is no surprise to those following the Filner resignation in San Diego's City Hall, Council President Todd Gloria and Second District Councilmember Kevin Faulconer have said they are considering a run for mayor.

On Saturday's Good Morning San Diego, both told Anchor Bridget Naso for the first time that they are not ruling out the move.

Todd Gloria said specifically he is strongly considering it but needed to speak with family and others before making a final decision on it.

Kevin Faulconer echoed what Gloria said, adding he cared deeply about who takes on that position for the city.
