County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar pitches a plan to help care for San Diego’s homeless population

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar joins KUSI to pitch a plan to help care for San Diego’s homeless population.

Just before the holidays, Supervisor Gaspar visited Austin, Texas to spend time with a population that is very difficult to serve– the chronically homeless.

She heard about an organization called The Community First Village that was doing something very different and was seeing positive results. Supervisor Gaspar now hopes to replicate that model here in San Diego.
