Couple displaced after fire tears through Spring Valley home

SPRING VALLEY (KUSI) — 8:30 p.m. — Two adults were displaced Wednesday after a fire tore through their Spring Valley home.

According to Cal Fire, four animals, 2 dogs and 2 cats, were also displaced. The Red Cross was not called to help find them interim housing.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

7:00 p.m. — Firefighters knocked down a fire that engulfed a garage at 1311 San Miguel Avenue in Spring Valley, according to Cal Fire.

5:30 p.m. — Heartland Fire Crews and Cal Fire were working to knock down a house fire in the 1300 block of San Miguel in Spring Valley.

According to Cal Fire, the fire started around 5:30 p.m. in the garage and quickly spread to the house.

There was no report on injuries.
