Cross Border Xpress in Otay Mesa hosts toy drive for their “One Toy, One Smile” initiative

OTAY MESA (KUSI) – Travelers using the Cross-Border Xpress in Otay Mesa are getting across the border into the Tijuana International Airport for free.

It’s part of the One Toy One Smile toy drive that benefits children who are in the hospital in Tijuana.

Travelers using the Cross Border Express, the fairly new facility that connects you directly to the Tijuana airport, are encouraged to bring a new, nonviolent toy for children at Hospital Infantil de Las Californias, which happens to be the only Pediatric Hospital in northwest Mexico.

In return, travelers won’t have to pay the fee to use the southbound bridge that takes you to the other side. It’s called the “One Toy, One Smile” toy drive at CBX.

That ticket will be given to them for as long as you’re planning to travel and use CBX sometime this year you can drop off a toy this week and get that voucher to use the pedestrian skybridge at CBX in Otay Mesa.
