Crude oil leaks from pipeline in Ventura County
VENTURA, Calif. (AP) – Southern California authorities are responding to a report of crude oil leaking from a pipeline in Ventura County.
The Ventura County Star newspaper reports that county and Ventura city firefighters responded to the scene just after 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
The amount of oil is uncertain.
County fire Capt. Mike Lindbery tells KNX news radio that oil has poured into a deep arroyo called the Prince Barranca and it could flow to the beach.
