Cyclists show unified support for planned 30th street bike lanes

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Today families in North Park called on the mayor to fulfill his climate change and safety promise.

Bike riders were strolling through Bird Park wearing orange vests to show their support for the new planned bike lanes.

The bike lanes are being considered for a stretch of 30th Street in North Park. Those in favor of the plan believe it will encourage people to ride their bikes, which is good for the environment.

Many people in the community, however, are opposed to the plan because it could eliminate hundreds of parking spaces.
