Del Mar declares local emergency over Jimmy Durante Blvd bluff collapse

DEL MAR (KUSI) – Del Mar’s mayor has announced that the closure of Jimmy Durante boulevard is expected to last longer than initially planned.

The portion of the road that has been closed since the bluff collapsed on it last month was scheduled to re-open before this month’s upcoming San Diego county fair.

Due to complications, the re-opening of Jimmy Durante boulevard is now behind schedule and Del Mar has declared a “local emergency” in order to speed up the repairs.
