Delays involving release of serial rapist Alvin Quarles taking a toll
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A dozen or so people waited to get into the courtroom before a hearing involving serial rapist Alvin Quarles.
Tireless efforts are being made to try and convince a judge not to release Quarles.
That judge, David Gill, closed the courtroom today, while both sides discussed whether the latest medical evaluation will be made public.
Judge Gill will rule on that and other issues at another hearing next month.
As KUSI’s Ginger Jeffries shows us, all of these closed proceedings, delays and court dates are taking a toll on the victims and families.
