Demand soars for air conditioning repairs

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Some business thrive in hot weather like this, any business that helps to keep us cool.

Many San Diegans don’t turn on the air conditioning at home, until a heat wave hits.

So imagine what happens if you suddenly found out that all you’re getting was a blast of hot air.

That’s why the technicians at one AC repair company are logging a lot of hours and miles this week.

When the Mercury goes up, so do the service calls.

Brad Chell, an ASI technician, was on "chill" patrol Monday and many of his service calls were the same complaint, "Help, we have no A/C!"
