Description released of transient man accused of trolley station slashing
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – San Diego police Monday sought a transient man suspected of slashing another man with a box cutter on a trolley platform in the Harbor View neighborhood.
The two homeless men were fighting on the platform at 1550 California St. shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, when one drew the box cutter and cut the other man’s shoulder, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said. The assailant then boarded a northbound trolley and escaped.
Delimitros said the victim’s wound was not considered life-threatening.
Police described the suspect as white and in his 40s with long, gray hair. He was wearing a gray windbreaker and bluish pants.
