Detailing the dangers of keeping your pets inside of hot cars

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Earlier this week, the Rancho Coastal Human Society held its annual demonstration about “Heat Safety in Car.”

The Public Relations Director locked himself in a closed vehicle to demonstrate how quickly the temperature rises and how it feels to be stuck in a hot car.

The temperature rose more than 30 degrees in less than 90 seconds.

John Van Zante, with the Rancho Coastal Humane Society told us more about hot car safety on live on the KUSI News.
