Devi, the baby hippo, is growing up fast!

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The San Diego Zoo’s baby hippo, Devi, has improved on her swimming and is experimenting with solid food.

Zookeepers say Devi, almost 6-month-old hippo, has been venturing into the deep end and can now barrel roll.

And although hippos generally nurse for a year, Devi has sampled some of her mother’s food.

Devi can be seen on Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends.
