Dingeman Elementary School officials warned parents about attempted kidnapping
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Dingeman Elementary School officials warned parents Wednesday about a possible attempt to kidnap a girl who attends the Scripps Ranch campus.
Shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday, two men pulled up alongside the girl in a pickup truck as she was walking to school and told her to get into the vehicle, according to the Scripps Ranch Civic Association. She ran back to her nearby home to get help, and the strangers drove off.
The girl described them as brown-haired white men who appeared to be in their 30s.
Dingeman Principal Kimie Lochtefeld reported the incident to campus police and sent alerts to pupils’ families, according to the community group. No suspects have been publicly identified.
