Director of the San Diego VA explains the latest policy changes

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – VA Healthcare is the nation’s largest integrated health system personalized for military veterans.

The Director of the San Diego VA Office, Doctor Robert M. Smith, was in studio to explain the changes and how they may impact you.

In his first public speech since taking over the Department of Veterans Affairs, The Military Times quoted VA Secretary Robert Wilkie saying, “VA exists to make life easier for veterans. So my prime directive is customer service. When a veteran comes in to VA, it is not up to him to get VA to say ‘yes.’ It is up to VA to give the veteran tools.”
