District Attorney Summer Stephan’s take on Tony Hicks’ parole

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The California Parole Board as granted the release of the man responsible for killing a pizza delivery driver back in 1995.

District Attorney Summer Stephan discussed the release on Good Morning San Diego.

Tony Hicks was 14 years old when he shot and killed college student Tariq Casima.

Hicks was the first juvenile in California to be tried as an adult. The family of the young man who was murdered pleaded with the state parole board to release Hicks.
