Doesn’t Make Sense!

Thursday, June 28, 2012 – A senior citizen called KUSI's Michael Turko after he was threatened with big fines for not paying a two-fifty toll charge on the South Bay Expressway. It started out as an honest mistake, but Turko says a petty bureaucratic regulation sent it spiraling out of control.

The South Bay Expressway is now owned by the SANDAG regional planning agency. They're re-evaluating the entire operation, and beginning Saturday they're lowering the tolls by about 50 cents each exit. They recently bought the expressway operation from a private outfit, which by the way, went bankrupt.
