Dog held at animal care facility after biting 2-year-old on the face

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A family dog is being held at an animal care facility after biting a 2-year-old child on the face Monday morning.

The dog, a 4-year-old female Catahoula Leopard Dog named Miss Cleo, was being walked by the dog owner’s brother who had the dog on a leash at a restaurant in Pacific Beach.  

A family approach the man and the dog and asked if they could pet her. When the young child touched the Cleo, she bit she child on the face.

The dog was impounded by Animal Services for quarantine and is being held at the animal care facility on Gaines Street.
