Door-to-door search conducted in search of missing 20-year-old
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – El Cajon Police are searching for a 20-year-old man who has been missing from his El Cajon home for more than three weeks.
Elijah "Bear" Diaz has not been seen or heard from since Saturday, August 29. He has juvenile diabetes and is insulin- dependent. Bear is most likely on crutches due to a serious injury on his foot. His family is extremely concerned that he does not have the proper medication with him and he has missed several doctor appointments already.
Bear was wearing white baseball shorts and a gray sleeveless t-shirt. He is 5foot 10 inches, approximately 110 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
A door-to-door search was conducted Tuesday morning beginning at 10 a.m. It covered the El Cajon area where he lives, starting at his home at 716 Joey Avenue in El Cajon and continued through the neighborhood and surrounding community. Volunteers, family, friends and investigators were part of the search that lasted throughout the day.
