Downed power line leaves thousands in the dark, crews work to restore power
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – 5:00 p.m. – The storm caused power outages across the county and crews were working all day Monday to restore power to some customers.
At one point, nearly 38,000 people were without power Sunday night.
In Solana Beach, more than 300 customers are without power. They’ve been in the dark since 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
But power is expected to be restored around 8 p.m. Monday night.
In the Ramona area, more than 200 people are also without power.
It should be restored to those customers around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
1/31/2016 – SDPD confirms more than 38 thousand homes were without power in northern San Diego County Sunday.
SDG&E is working to fix the issue.
The outages began shortly after 2:30 p.m. and were caused by a tree that downed a power line on El Camino Real eastbound SR-78
