Dr. Scott Atlas discusses resignation as Special Adviser to Trump on Coronavirus
WASHINGTON D.C. (KUSI) – Dr. Scott Atlas has resigned as special adviser to President Trump on coronavirus.
In his resignation letter, Dr. Atlas “touted the Trump administration’s work on the coronavirus pandemic, while wishing “all the best” to the incoming Biden administration.”
The letter read, “I am writing to resign from my position as Special Advisor to the President of the United States,” Atlas said, thanking him for “the honor and privilege to serve on behalf of the American people.”
Atlas has said for months that there is no reason to deprive our kids of an education by shutting down our schools, citing that children are only “infrequently spreading the disease.”
Atlas explained the during his time in the White House, everything he said “was factually true and based on the science. When people didn’t agree with me, they either didn’t know the science, they didn’t understand the science, or were denying the science for their own reasons.”
Dr. Scott Atlas joined KUSI’s Paul Rudy on Good Morning San Diego to discuss his resignation and detail everything they accomplished .
