Drive-by- shooting leaves one dead in Golden Hills

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A motorcyclist fired at least three rounds through the driver’s-side window of a parked car on a Golden Hill roadside Wednesday, killing a man sitting inside the vehicle, authorities reported.

The assailant parked his two-wheeler in the 900 block of 26th Street shortly after 6:30 a.m., walked over to the car and began shooting, according to San Diego police.

The killer, who was dressed in a gray jumpsuit and wearing a helmet that concealed his face, fled to the east on E Street on his motorcycle, possibly an older-model Honda, homicide Lt. Paul Rorrison told reporters.

Patrol officers found the victim slumped over the steering wheel of the sedan. Medics took him to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was withheld pending family notification.

Police disclosed no suspected motive for the shooting.
