Driver crashes into five parked cars and flees, police say

NATIONAL CITY — A driver crashed into several parked cars in the National City area early Thursday, leaving a trail of damage before fleeing the scene.

A male driver was speeding through a neighborhood on Potomac Street around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, according to police when the driver crashed into five parked cars before running the vehicle into a fence.

Police continue to search for the man, who ran from the accident, police said. He is believed to be injured.
