Early morning explosion damages homes, cars in Escondido

ESCONDIDO (CNS) – An early morning explosion damaged several cars and two homes in Escondido Wednesday, but police said that no one was hurt.

The explosion occurred in front of a home on Fig Street, near Washington Avenue, at about 2:30 a.m., according to Escondido police.

Firefighters had flames from the explosion under control within 30 minutes. No other details were immediately available.
