Echo in Ramadi: The Firsthand Story of U.S. Marines in Iraq’s Deadliest City.

Scott Huesing, a San Diego resident and retired USMC infantry major with 24 years of service and 10 deployments including Operation Iraqi Freedom, is out with a book, Echo in Ramadi: The Firsthand Story of U.S. Marines in Iraq’s Deadliest City.

The book is filled with action-packed and heart-breaking stories about a new type of urban warfare where the frontline was everywhere and their enemy wore no uniform.

For his book, Scott conducted a number of interviews with his fellow marines and their families as well as with the families of loved ones lost.

In his book, Scott discusses his struggle to overcome PTS in the years following his service as well as what it was like to tragically lose a number of his marines to the disease.
