Education opportunities for law enforcement

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – National University is partnering with The San Diego Police Department to make it easier for those enrolled in the police academy training program to get a bachelors degree.

San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit and the Jack Hamlin from National University visited Good Morning San Diego to discuss the partnership.

National University said it’s new credit policy for approved police academy training reduces criminal justice bachelor’s program length by half, and in certain cases as little as eleven months.

The college is also offering 25 percent tuition scholarship for public safety agencies nationwide, according to National University.
