Eight arrested after compliance check

VISTA (CNS) – San Diego sheriff’s deputies arrested eight people who hadbeen released from custody early under the state’s inmate realignment for avariety of violations during a compliance check, a lieutenant said Sunday.

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department Vista Station conducted 11 compliancechecks on Saturday in the City of Vista and the unincorporated area,according to Lt. Scott Miller.

“Eight individuals, many who are realigned offenders, were arrested andbooked for a variety of violations including possession of narcotics(methamphetamine and heroin), possession of narcotic paraphernalia, misdemeanorand felony warrants, probation violations and parole violations,” Miller said.

The compliance checks were carried out between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., hesaid.
