Elderly man killed after being struck by vehicle

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A man appearing to be in his late 70s or early 80s was fatally struck by a van in Bay Park early Tuesday, police said.

The man was struck in the 3800 block of Morena Boulevard shortly before 1:30 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The driver, a man in his 60s, remained at the scene, he said in a statement.
