Elderly San Diego couple die in each other’s arms
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Pictures of an elderly San Diego couple have gone viral after the two died just hours apart as they held hands in bed.
Jeanette Toczko, 96, and her 95-year-old husband, Alexander Toczko were married for 75 years.
According to their children, the pair spent their lives together after becoming boyfriend and girlfriend when they were only eight years old.
Both Jeanette and Alexander's health started to decline around the same time.
Mr. Toczko suffered a broken hip after a fall and was left bed-bound. Shortly after, Mrs. Toczko's health started to decline as well.
They died within a day of each other.
The couple is survived by their four children: Donna Tang, Richard Toczko, Lynne Edwards and Andra Toczko, 10 grandchildren and six great-grand children.
Mr and Mrs Toczko were buried at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego on Monday.
