Encinitas protest against homeless parking lot has residents divided

ENCINITAS (KUSI) – Encinitas residents are speaking out against a plan to allow the homeless to sleep in their cars in a designated parking lot.

The proposal to build the overnight parking lot for the Encinitas homeless residents has left several residents divided and even forced the city council to push back a vote on the issue until next month.

Those against the proposal believe the city council and the organizations funding the project have not given residents a fair say in the issue.
