Escondido City Council may join federal lawsuit against sanctuary law

The City Council is expected to discuss the lawsuit during their April 4 meeting, and Escondido Mayor Sam Abed said he expects it to pass.

The Board of Supervisors is also expected to take on the issue during their closed-door meeting on April 17.

If the Escondido City Council and the Board of Supervisors decide to join the federal lawsuit, they join the Orange County Board of Supervisors, along with several other Orange County cities.
