Escondido Police find missing nine-year-old boy

ESCONDIDO (KUSI) — Escondido police were searching for a missing 9-year-old boy who was reported as possibly abducted Sunday afternoon while riding his bike near a convenience store.

According to police, the child was not abducted and was with his father the whole time. He was reported missing by his brother, police said.

The child was reported missing at 11:22 a.m. Sunday while riding his bicycle outside of an AM/PM store at the intersection Escondido Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

The case was being called a family misunderstanding.

There are no further details at this time.
