Escondido resident start food pantry for those impacted by government shutdown

ESCONDIDO (KUSI) – It’s now the fourth week of the longest government shutdown ever, and hundreds of thousands of federal employees missed their first paycheck.

For those living paycheck-to-paycheck, this means they can’t pay their bills or buy groceries for their families.

KUSI’s Dani Ruberti spoke to one Escondido resident who rallied the community together to make sure these families have fresh food at home.
