Experts find unexpected health benefits of ‘Intermittent Fasting’

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Intermittent fasting is a new diet philosophy being used more and more often at this point in time.

Originally, it was just a diet program focused on losing weight but, researchers have found that the eating plan is having a positive impact on other health factors including anti-aging, risk for cancer, and autoimmune conditions.

KUSI’s Ginger Jeffries spoke with certified nutritionist David Getoff about what intermittent fasting does on a cellular and molecular level.
