Family Business: Casa Del Q’ero
KUSI’s Allie Wagner was live at Casa Del Q’ero in Cardiff for Family Business Thursday.
The business is owned and run by Monica Szepesy who is also the chef behind the amazing Peruvian inspired menu.
Her son, Niko 16 who grew up in the restaurant literally, makes the special house sauce the regulars and non-regulars all alike swear by.
Her mother, Dona Carmen hand makes ALL of the empamada’s from scratch(a three day process) that come out of the kitchen along with the Alfajore cookies and famous Tres Leches Cake.
Currently the business is employing employing six family members each bringing their own touch or presence to the experience of dining with the Q’ero family. Many days you can see all three generations working together at the original location; Grandmother, Daughter and grandson ready to provide the Q’ero experience.
