Corky Mizer founded Corky’s Pest Control in 1967. Corky’s Pest Control began operations in northern California, but within a few years he relocated to Southern California. Corky started out as a sole proprietor and has grown his business to 125 employees, with 70 service trucks and more than 20,000 regular customers.
Through his many years in business, Corky has become known as Southern California’s leading pest control specialist. He’s customized his company’s services to address the unique pest control needs of the Southern California area. It’s always been Corky’s mission to build and maintain solid customer relations, striving for the best pest solutions.
Corky is nationally recognized as an industry expert. He’s published 19 textbooks used by universities and pest control professionals around the country. Corky is personally responsible for many innovations in the field of pest control. These innovations include equipment design, and treatment methods.
It’s always been Corky’s philosophy to have fun along the way, and this is reflected in his advertising. His award winning radio and television campaigns, have made Corky’s a household name in Southern California. Throughout his career Corky has always believed that its’ important to maintain a sense of humor.
Additionally, Corky has always believed in giving back to the community through the arts and a variety of charitable organizations. Besides being a member of the Nice Guys of San Diego, Corky also supports Casa de Amparo, International Relief Teams, Nave Seals Special Warfare Family Foundation, the San Diego Police Foundation, and the San Diego Air and Space Museum. Corky also serves on the board of trustees at the University of California Riverside.
