Father Joe’s Therapeutic Childcare helps children experiencing homelessness

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Father Joe’s Villages’ Therapeutic Childcare Program held an event Thursday filled with seasonal celebrations for children experiencing homelessness.

Children ages 3 to 5 were able to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and receive personalized gifts.

Nearly 400 families in San Diego experience homelessness daily, including young children such as those served by the program.

Father Joe’s is San Diego’s largest homeless services provider sheltering more than 2,000 people each night and providing up to 3,000 meals a day, along with health care, substance use disorder treatment, job training, therapeutic childcare and more.
