Feud at SANDAG over controversial Regional Transportation Plan

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Two members of the SANDAG board say the agency’s new executive director, Hasan Ihkrata, is moving forward with his Regional Transportation Plan.

The multi-billion dollar plan would dramatically shift regional transportation priorities toward expanding public transit and away from building highways and roads.

The plan also would do away with many long-anticipated highway improvement and expansion projects. Those discarded projects have been the main point of contention for many East and North County officials
