Filner accuser count now at 16
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – The number of women publicly claiming to have been victims of unwanted sexual advances by San Diego Mayor Bob Filner continued to climb Thursday.
A 67-year-old great-grandmother who worked at a senior citizens services desk in the City Administration Building lobby has accused Mayor Filner of kissing her on the lips and repeatedly asking for dates. Peggy Shannon said the mayor also walked by her after the sexual harassment allegations became public and put a finger to his lips.
The woman became the third municipal employee, and 16th person overall, to accuse Filner of harassment.
