Filner allegedly in meetings regarding future

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Embattled Mayor Bob Filner was spotted Monday entering
a downtown San Diego office building where it was reported that negotiations
were underway regarding his future.

He allegedly entered the building around 9 a.m., and was
followed about 45 minutes later by Irene McCormack Jackson — the woman who has
sued him and the city for sexual harassment — and her Los Angeles-based
lawyer, Gloria Allred.

Councilman Kevin Faulconer was also seen entering the building.

According to reports, Filner's lawyers are negotiating with Allred and
City Attorney Jan Goldsmith in a mediation session presided over by a federal
judge.

Filner was expected to return to work Monday following what his lawyers
called a “personal week.” However, he had not been seen at the City
Administration Building by late morning.

The mayor, accused of sexual harassment by numerous women and under
investigation for alleged misuse of city-issued credit cards and shakedowns of
developers, has not been seen in public for around three weeks.
