Fire breaks-out in commercial building in El Cerrito area

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A two-alarm blaze broke out this Wednesday afternoon at an abandoned El Cerrito-area warehouse, but no one was hurt.

The fire at the one-story commercial building at 5555 University Ave. was reported at 2:45 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It was knocked down about 3:10 p.m., but sustained heavy damage.

There was no immediate word on what may have sparked the blaze.
